You are not sure?
If you are not sure about what is okay to post, it is best to check the full Policy.

If you see it, report it.

If you see something wrong, that looks like it could be prohibited content, this is how to report something bad on Dailymotion:
  1. Find the Report Button: If you see a video or comment that you think breaks the rules, look for the “Report” button near it.
  2. Click and Explain: When you click “Report,” you’ll be asked to pick a reason for why the content is bad. For example, it could be mean, unsafe, or inappropriate.
  3. What Happens Next? After you report it, Dailymotion’s team will check the video or comment to see if it breaks their rules.
  4. Stay Safe: You don’t need to contact the person who posted the bad content. Just report it and let Dailymotion handle it.

Check our Help Center if you want to learn more on how to report prohibited and inappropriate content or behavior.

If you upload prohibited content…

What happens if you break the rules on Dailymotion ?:
  • Your video may be deleted. If we find out you post something that is prohibited, Dailymotion has the obligation to remove it quickly.
  • Your access to some features could be suspended such as our social features (comments, uploads, etc.)
  • Your account could be blocked or deleted. You will no longer have access to it and all the videos you had uploaded may be deleted.
  • Police or other authorities could be contacted if you seriously violated our Policy. Telling them is a way to make sure everyone stays safe.

We can make mistakes sometimes, too. If you believe that your video or account is removed by mistake, you can ask Dailymotion to check again. Follow the “appeal” process explained in the email that tells you about the deletion.

These rules are part of Dailymotion’s Prohibited Content Policy, which is part of Dailymotion’s Terms of Use. You can access a simplified summary of our Terms of Use here.
