At Dailymotion, we firmly believe in transparency and integrity in all our interactions. As a video-sharing platform, we understand the importance of providing clear and accurate information about our operations, policies and practices to our clients, users and the general public.This page gathers all the information that Dailymotion is required to make publicly available and to update on a regular basis, in accordance with the regulations applicable to it, including:
- Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on Digital Services (DSA);
- Regulation (EU) 2021/784 on addressing the dissemination of terrorist content online;
- the Code of Conduct on countering illegal hate speech online (Code of Conduct+) agreed with the European Commission;
- Article 47 of French Law No. 2005-102 of February 11, 2005 and Decree No. 2019-768 of July 24, 2019 on digital accessibility;
- Turkish Law No. 5651 on social networks.
Our goal is to create an online experience that is transparent, safe and enriching for everyone, and we will continue to work actively to strengthen trust and integrity in our actions.
1. Platform Audience
In accordance with Article 24(2) of the Digital Services Act (DSA), Dailymotion publishes at least once every six months information on the average monthly number of its active recipients within the European Union.This information enables regulators and the public to assess the reach of our platform within the Union.
2. Recommender Systems
In accordance with Article 27 of the Digital Services Act (DSA), Dailymotion provides clear and comprehensible information on the functioning of its content recommender systems.This dedicated page sets out the main parameters used by our algorithms to suggest videos, topics and channels, as well as the options available to you to customize, modify or reset your recommendations.
3. Transparency Reports
Dailymotion regularly publishes transparency reports on its content moderation activities, the processing of reports received and its efforts to combat illegal content. These reports are prepared in accordance with applicable European and national regulations.
3.1. Enforcement of the Prohibited Content Policy (DSA)
In accordance with Articles 15 and 24 of the Digital Services Act (DSA), Dailymotion publishes an annual transparency report detailing how its Prohibited Content Policy is enforced on its platform. These reports provide information on our moderation processes, the handling of reports, legal requests received and the protection of users’ rights.
3.2. Fight Against Terrorist and Violent Extremist Content
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/784 on addressing the dissemination of terrorist content online, Dailymotion publishes an annual transparency report on the resources allocated to combating terrorism and violent extremism on its platform.
3.3. Countering Illegal Hate Speech Online
In the context of its participation in the Code of Conduct on countering illegal hate speech online (Code of Conduct+), Dailymotion publishes transparency reports on the actions taken to address illegal hate speech on its platform.
3.4. Turkey
In accordance with Turkish Law No. 5651 on social networks, Dailymotion publishes biannual transparency reports on requests received in Turkey, along with monthly advertising registers. These reports are available in English and Turkish.
4. Digital Accessibility
Dailymotion is committed to making its online communication services accessible to everyone, in accordance with Article 47 of French Law No. 2005-102 of February 11, 2005 and Decree No. 2019-768 of July 24, 2019 on the accessibility of online communication services to persons with disabilities.To this end, Dailymotion implements the strategy and actions set out in its multi-year accessibility plan, which is broken down into annual action plans.
4.1. Multi-Year Accessibility Plan and Action Plans
Dailymotion’s multi-year accessibility plan sets out the company’s digital accessibility policy, the resources allocated, the compliance actions planned for all its services, and the schedule for audits and corrective measures. It is broken down each year into an operational action plan.

4.2. Accessibility Statements
In accordance with Article 7 of Decree No. 2019-768, an accessibility statement is issued for each of Dailymotion’s online communication services. This statement indicates the service’s level of compliance with the French General Accessibility Improvement Framework (RGAA), identifies non-accessible content and the reasons therefor, and provides users with contact and appeal information.
